Levonorgestrel 1.5mg is an emergency contraception used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or when another birth control technique fails. It operates by blocking the full development of a woman’s egg. Additionally, it may stop the woman’s egg from adhering to the uterus wall. As soon as possible after unprotected sex, take 1 tablet orally with or without food. Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg is most effective when used within 72 hours of unprotected sex. There is no 100% effective contraception method. It is more beneficial to avoid having sex or use birth control measures like getting surgery to become infertile. Use morning pill 1.5mg as a regular form of birth control is not advised.

Call your doctor if you vomit within two hours of taking levonorgestrel tablet as it may need to be taken again. You should continue using your regular method of birth control or start using regular birth control right away since you could become pregnant quickly after treatment with levonorgestrel. Morning pill is manufactured by Healing Pharma and they are pink in color.

Precautions:

Despite the fact that you are using this medication to avoid conception, you should be aware that doing so while you are pregnant poses a risk to the unborn child. Before you begin using this medication, your doctor may offer you a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you believe you became pregnant while taking the medication. After using morning pill 1.5 mg for a few days, you might have minor blood spotting. Consult your doctor straight away if the bleeding lasts more than a week. HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases are not prevented by this medication.

If you get significant lower abdomen or stomach pain 3 to 5 weeks after taking this medication, contact your doctor immediately. Ectopic pregnancy, often known as a pregnancy outside the uterus (womb), is possible which is a dangerous, perhaps fatal condition. Additionally, it may result in issues that could make it more challenging for you to get pregnant in the future.
